Ministry of Finance Sets Deadline for Rastriya Jeewan Beema Company Audit
Kathmandu – The Ministry of Finance has instructed Rastriya Jeewan Beema Company Limited to finalize its pending audits within four months. The directive was issued during a meeting at the Ministry of Finance, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel.
The decision was made during a high-level meeting held at the Ministry of Finance, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel. Highlighting the detrimental impact of prolonged audit delays, Poudel stressed the importance of timely audits for the company’s stability and transparency.
The company has not completed its final audit since the fiscal year 2071/072, raising concerns over its financial accountability and governance. The meeting emphasized the importance of timely audits, noting that the lack of completion harms both the company and its stakeholders. It was decided that the general meeting of the company would only take place after the pending audits are completed.
The discussion included representatives from the Office of the Auditor General, Nepal Insurance Authority, Ministry of Finance, and Rastriya Jeewan Beema Company. All parties have committed to working collaboratively to meet the newly established deadline.
