Shikhar Insurance Leads Non-Life Insurance Market with Strategic Investments
Kathmandu – Shikhar Insurance Company has emerged as a leader in Nepal’s non-life insurance sector, showcasing significant investments across diverse financial instruments. According to data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority, the company has prioritized investments in Class A banks, accumulating Rs 2.5 billion in fixed deposits, the highest among its peers.
In addition to its substantial deposits, Shikhar Insurance has invested Rs 762.8 million in preference shares and Rs 481.5 million in Class B banks.
The company’s diversified investment portfolio includes Rs 308.4 million in other promoter shares and Rs 291.7 million in sectors such as agriculture, solar energy, road infrastructure, education, and health. Furthermore, Shikhar Insurance has allocated Rs 126.2 million to shares of listed companies, Rs 121.1 million to citizens’ investment and mutual funds, Rs 66.1 million to other investments, and Rs 34.5 million to Class C banks.
