SuryaJyoti Life Insurance Wins Prestigious ‘Emerging Insurance Award’ in Thailand

Kathmandu – SuryaJyoti Life Insurance Company has been honored with the fifth ‘Emerging Insurance Award’ for its outstanding achievements in the insurance sector. The company received this recognition during the 5th Emerging Asia Insurance Awards 2024, organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Bangkok, Thailand.

The award, presented under the category of ‘Best Innovations Led by Technology and Insurtech – Nepal,’ highlights Suryajyoti Life’s technological advancements and innovative strategies in the insurance sector. The recognition comes after an independent evaluation conducted by prestigious organizations, including the globally renowned chartered accountancy and consultancy firm PwC, the Indian Institute of Insurance (III), and international insurance experts.

The award was received by Suryajyoti Life’s Chairman, Keshav Prasad Bhattarai, during a grand ceremony attended by high-ranking officials from insurance companies across Asia, including India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Thailand. The company’s employees, Niranjan Regmi and Geeta Basnet, were also present at the event.

The award underscores SuryaJyoti Life’s excellence in leveraging digital technology to drive innovation in Nepal’s insurance industry. Speaking at the event’s International Forum on Life Insurance, Director Hemant Nahata elaborated on the company’s digital technology strategy, highlighting the challenges and opportunities in Nepal’s insurance sector.
