Nepal Life Insurance Reports 9.45% Increase in Net Profit in Q2

Kathmandu – Nepal Life Insurance Limited has published its financial results for the second quarter of the current fiscal year, showcasing a 9.45% rise in net profit compared to the same period last year.
The company reported a net profit of NPR 468.1 million in the current fiscal year, up from NPR 427.7 million in the previous year. The rise in profit is attributed to an increase in net insurance premium income and total income.
The total income of the company surged from NPR 29.2 billion in the previous fiscal year to NPR 33.49 billion this year. Similarly, the net insurance premium income rose from NPR 19.71 billion to NPR 22.12 billion, further bolstering the company’s profitability.
Nepal Life’s life insurance fund has grown significantly, reaching NPR 217 billion this fiscal year compared to NPR 182 billion last year. The company’s earnings per share (EPS) also saw an improvement, increasing from NPR 10.42 to NPR 11.41.
With a paid-up capital of NPR 8.2 billion, Nepal Life has retained earnings of NPR 2.38 billion and a disaster fund of NPR 1.30 billion. The company’s net worth per share stands at NPR 154.51.
