Government Allocates Rs 3.84 Billion for Health Programs

Kathmandu – The Ministry of Finance has approved an additional Rs 3.84 billion to support various health-related programs, including health insurance payments.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel sanctioned the funds following a request from the Ministry of Health and Population.

Of the total allocation, Rs 3 billion has been directed to the Health Insurance Board, Rs 600 million will be used for the treatment of senior citizens and other health services, and Rs 240 million has been granted to Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center to provide free treatment for heart disease patients.
