Insurance Companies in the Secondary Market, who lost how Much?

Kathmandu : On Monday, the second day of the week the double-digit decline in the stock market did not stop. The NEPSE index decreased by 12.58 points and remained at 1908 points. Out of the 13 sub-indices in NEPSE, production and processing and trade sub-indices were green while the rest of the index turned negative.

Both sub-indices towards insurance decreased. The life insurance sub-index decreased by 1 percent and the non-life insurance sub-index decreased by 0.80 percent. Only the share price of Prabhu Insurance seems to have increased on Monday. The share price of Prabhu Insurance increased by 1.08 percent or 7.20 rupees to 671.10 rupees.

Among the insurance companies that lost the most, Sanima GIC Insurance fell on Monday. The share price of which has decreased by 4.89 percent i.e. 26.40 rupees to 513.40 rupees. Second is Citizen Life Insurance, which bears losses.

Citizen’s share price decreased by 1.78 percent to Rs.424.60. LIC Nepal 1.70 percent, Salico 1.59 percent, National Life 1.48 percent, United Azod Insurance 1.46 percent, Sanima Reliance Life 1.09 percent, Asian Life 1.07 percent share price decreased.

Similarly, 1.05 percent of Nepal Life, 1.03 percent of IME Life, 0.99 percent of Siddharth Premier Insurance, 0.94 percent of Nepal Reinsurance Company, 0.87 percent of Sun Nepal Life, 0.89 percent of Surya Jyoti Life, 0.89 percent of Reliable Nepal Life 0.72 percent, Neco Insurance’s 0.61 percent, NLG’s 0.40 percent, Himalayan Everest Insurance’s 0.28 percent, Shikhar Insurance’s 0.27 percent and Himalayan Life’s share price decreased by 0.02 percent.
