Decision on not Distributing Dividend by Himalayan Life

Calls for general meeting with an agenda of electing 6 directors

Kathmandu : Himalayan Life Insurance Company has decided not to distribute dividends to the shareholders. The meeting of the board of directors of the company held on 4th of Januray took this decision. In the meeting the 16th annual general meeting is decided to be held on Thursday, 1st of February, 2024 A.D.

The Annual General Meeting has been called based on the annual financial statements of former three life insurances i.e Union, Prime and Gurans Life for the year 2078/79 B.S (2022 A.D). The meeting of the board of directors held on 4th of January of the company called the annual general meeting of all the three companies.

The company has decided not to distribute dividends to the shareholders from the general meeting and has kept a regular agenda of passing only the financial statement by the board of directors. In addition, the company has also set an agenda to pass the dues paid to the board of directors and sub-committee. Similarly, it has also proposed an agenda to elect a total of six directors i.e three from the founding shareholders and three from the public shareholders.

The company has decided to close the book on 17th of January for the purpose of the general meeting.
