Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life elects Shikshya Bhattachan as Chairman; Commitment to uplift the company

Kathmandu: Shikshya Bhattachan has been elected as the chairman of Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance. The board of directors meeting on Tuesday, 16th of January, 2024 A.D elected her as the chairman.

After the merger of Mahalaxmi Life Insurance and Prabhu Life Insurance, she was selected as the chairman. She was the founder shareholder director of Prabhu Life Insurance until the merger of the two companies. Now she has been selected as the chairman from the founding group.

Chairman Bhattachan is also the Managing Director of Business family i.e Prabhu Group. She has done Post Graduation in cyber security from USA. Bhattachan has led the shipping company for Prabhu Group in collaboration with America, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries group.

She is the daughter of Deviprakash Bhattachan, chairman of Prabhu Group. The board has given the responsibility of chairman to Shikshya Bhattachan and mentioned that his role in digital security will be important.

She is ‘the second Female Chairman’ of the insurance sector.
