Kathmandu: The war in the Middle East has expanded further and reached South Asia after Iran launched a missile against terrorists in Pakistan. A while back, Iran launched an airstrike targeting the military camp of a terrorist organization in the Baluchistan region of Pakistan, while there was talk that the impact of the war in the Middle East would be minimal in Nepal.

According to the international news organization ‘Reuters’, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian Hon has mentioned that the attack on Pakistan will continue until the Israeli attack on Gaza is stopped. Iran has said that it has destroyed the military base of Jaish al-Adl, which is hiding in Pakistani soil, by air and drone attacks.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan published a press release this evening stating that the missile attack on its land cannot be accepted in any way and warned that it could lead to a serious situation. Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has accused Iran of violating Pakistani airspace in a notification issued on Wednesday, 17th of January, 2024 A.D evening. Also, in another notification issued this evening, it has been mentioned that there was a telephone conversation between the foreign ministers of the two countries.

Reuters reported that two children were killed and more than two others were injured in the incident. Most of the international media have published news with priority on the subject of attacks by Pakistan and Iran. A few days ago, more than 100 people were killed when two powerful bombs exploded at an event held on the fourth anniversary of the commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Soleimani. After that incident, Iran-backed military groups are intensifying attacks on US military bases in Iraq and Syria. Meanwhile, Iran attacked Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has recalled its ambassador to Iran and decided to stop all high-level meetings. Discussions are going on in the international world that the threat of a new war has come to the fore due to the deteriorating relations between the two countries.

The war spread in the Middle East has now officially reached Pakistan, Nepal’s neighbouring country. It is not possible to say what kind of outcome of the newly started new war will reach Nepal.

It is estimated that Nepal, which has been stuck in an economic crisis for the past two years, will be affected again by the new war cloud that has fallen on friendly countries while it is moving on the path of reform.
