Ban on sale of tobacco products in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan city

Kathmandu. Dharan sub-metropolitan city has banned the sale of tobacco products. The sub-metropolitan city has banned the sale and distribution of tobacco products and storage within the city area.

The city executive meeting held on 14th of January, 2024 A.D (29th of Paush, 2080 B.S) decided to ban the sale and use of tobacco products in public. According to that, City Mayor, Harka Sampang issued a public notice on 19th of January, 2024 A.D and informed that after 15 days, the ban on the sale, distribution and use of tobacco products will be implemented.
