Government will Controls them, Who will not Return the Loan, : Finance Minister, Pun

Kathmandu : Newly appointed Finance Minister Barshaman Pun has said that the government will take control who will not pay the loan again. In a meeting with the Bankers’ Association held on 24th Falgun, he said that the government will control those who have taken the loan from the banks and financial institutions and are not willing to pay back loan .

Pun said that the government will strictly control the trend of non-payment of bank loans given from people’s deposits. He re-informed that the government will not give concessions to the trend of running the debt collection campaign taken from banks and financial institutions.

Pun informed that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has directed the related ministries and agencies to take action against those who are provoking bank loans.

He expressed his commitment that the government will not let the morale of investors fall as the trend of reducing the morale of the private sector will block the journey of the economy and the overall prosperity of the country. He said, “The government is clear that foreign investment can be attracted only if the investment environment and investment security can be guaranteed in the country. The government will end the atmosphere of panic and fear in the private sector”.

The bankers requested Minister Pun to be serious about the increasing incidents of abusive behavior and attacks on bank employees who went to collect loans.
