Trust Micro Insurance Officially launched the business with big objective to cover the lower income group : CEO
Kathmandu : Trust Micro Insurance Company has officially started business from 9th of Chaitra, 2080 B.S. Trust Micro Insurance Company, which has its head office in Butwal, has officially launched its business from this day. Trust Micro Insurance, which was the last to get a license from the Insurance Authority, has officially started its business . The company officially launched by selling two insurance plans through online.
The company has started insurance services by insuring houses through property insurance and vehicle through motor insurance. In the formal launch program, the Member of Parliament of Lumbini Province as well as the former Chief Minister, Leela Giri inaugurated it. Along with her, Insurance Authority Director Santosh Rijal, Insurance Authority Co-Director Sambaraj Lamichhane and Insurance Authority Lumbini Province Head, Purna Bahadur Thapa were present in the program.
The program was conducted by Manoj Bhattarai. Inaugurating the program, Lumbini Member of Parliament as well as former, Chief Minister Leela Giri said that jobs should be created in the country and also mentioned that the role of political leadership in the present state, seem hard to believable. Also, member of Parliament, Mrs. Giri emphasized that since agriculture, technical education and employment are necessary for prosperity, micro insurance will help in creating jobs as well as expanding access to insurance.
Jagat Bahadur Pokharel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, promised to make Trust Micro Insurance the best company in the country. The CEO of the company, Ujjwal Dhuangana, said that they have entered the field with the big objective of insuring the poor people with low income from the villages and will protect them from their risks.
He also clarified that they are not competitors of the insurance companies that are currently operating. He said that the financial condition of all people in the country is not the same and micro insurance will play an important role in making insurance accessible to all types of common citizens. Chairman Pokharel also promised to develop Rupandehi as an economic hub in the future.
Expressing congratulations and good wishes to Trust Micro Insurance, Lumbini Province Head of Insurance Authority, Purna Bahadur Thapa expressed the view that the micro insurance market is vast. He also suggested that he would provide the necessary support and advice from the authority and take special initiatives to pay insurance claims to the company.
