Nepal Insurance Authority Mandates Refresher Training for License Renewal
Kathmandu – The Nepal Insurance Authority has introduced mandatory refresher training for over 200,000 insurance agents and surveyors as a prerequisite for license renewal. The announcement was made by Acting Chairman Madan Dahal during a social dialogue program organized by the Nepal Financial Institute Employees Union in the capital.
This new policy aims to strengthen the capabilities of insurance professionals and enhance the overall efficiency of Nepal’s insurance sector. Dahal emphasized the importance of regular updates and capacity-building initiatives to ensure the industry meets evolving challenges.
The Acting Chairman noted that the mandatory training would not only improve the skill set of agents and surveyors but also contribute to the broader development of the insurance sector. By focusing on continuous learning, the Authority aims to foster professionalism and ensure that insurance practices align with global standards.
This marks Dahal’s first public announcement since taking office as Acting Chairman. He expressed confidence in the support of insurance professionals in implementing this system, which is designed to elevate the sector’s quality and reliability.
