Life Insurance Companies in Nepal Collect Premiums Worth NPR 80.66 Billion in Six Months

Kathmandu – Life insurance companies operating in Nepal have collectively earned NPR 80.66 billion in insurance premiums during the first six months of the current fiscal year, according to data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority on Wednesday.

The report highlights that 14 life insurance companies contributed to this impressive figure, showcasing the steady growth of the life insurance sector in the country. Among them, Nepal Life Insurance Company emerged as the top performer, generating NPR 22.45 billion in insurance premiums.

Other major contributors include National Life Insurance, which collected NPR 9.6 billion, and LIC Nepal, which earned NPR 9.46 billion. Himalayan Life Insurance secured NPR 8.33 billion in premiums, while SuryaJyoti Life Insurance recorded NPR 5.6 billion.
