Asian Life Insurance Announces Interest Discount on Lapsed Policy Renewals

Kathmandu – Asian Life Insurance Company Limited has introduced a special discount on interest charges for policyholders looking to renew their lapsed insurance policies. The company has launched this initiative for fully expired policies that have exceeded six months from the last premium payment, offering financial relief to policyholders.

The discount scheme will be available from March 3 to April 1, 2025, providing policyholders with an opportunity to reinstate their coverage at a reduced cost. Under this offer, policies that have been lapsed for 2 to less than 5 years will receive a 25% interest discount, while those that have remained lapsed for over 5 years will benefit from a 50% interest discount.

However, the company has clarified that policies with a maturity period of less than 2 years and those that have previously availed a discount facility will not be eligible for this offer.
