SuryaJyoti Life Insurance Unveils Digital Card and e-Loan Services, Marking Industry First In Nepal

Kathmandu, – In a pioneering move for Nepal’s insurance sector, SuryaJyoti Life Insurance Company Limited has introduced the ‘Suryajyoti Cares Digital Card’ and ‘SuryaJyoti e-Loan’ services, signaling a significant stride toward digital transformation.

The official launch took place on Monday at a special event held at Hotel Himalayan, Lalitpur. The unveiling was led by Sharad Ojha, Chairman of the Nepal Insurance Authority, alongside Executive Director Sushil Dev Subedi, Company Chairman Keshab Bhattarai, and Chief Executive Officer Prakash Bikram Khatri.

Designed to bridge insurance with modern technology, the newly launched services aim to make insurance more accessible and responsive to the evolving needs of customers. The SuryaJyoti Cares Digital Card offers policyholders and agents access to exclusive discounts at partner hospitals and commercial establishments. Meanwhile, the e-Loan service enables insured clients to apply for loans online, providing quick financial relief during emergencies.

Speaking at the program, CEO Khatri emphasized that the initiative is part of the company’s broader vision to create a digitally empowered insurance experience. The launch ceremony was attended by top executives from the Nepal Insurance Authority, senior management from SuryaJyoti Life Insurance, and leading agents from across the country.
