National Life Insurance Announces New Bonus Rates Across Insurance Plans

Kathmandu — National Life Insurance Limited has announced new bonus rates for its insurance plans, following the approval of its latest actuarial valuation report by the Nepal Insurance Authority. The revised rates are based on the company’s financial statements and evaluation of financial liabilities for the previous fiscal year.

According to the company, the updated bonus rates apply to all its insurance plans and vary according to the insurance period. For the Term Life Insurance ‘Sawadhik Jeevan Beremalekh’ plan, policyholders will receive a bonus ranging from Rs 64 to Rs 85 per thousand of insured sum, depending on the duration of the policy.

A similar bonus structure ranging from Rs 64 to Rs 85 per thousand—has been introduced for the Term and  Life Insurance ‘Sawadhik Aajeevan Beemalekh’ plan, again based on the insurance period.

In the case of the ‘Advance Payment Term Life Insurance’ plan, the bonus rate has been fixed between Rs 63 and Rs 64 per thousand, as per the policy term.

The company further stated that these revised bonus rates will also apply to all claims settled, including death claims, maturity benefits, surrender values, and ongoing policies, until a new actuarial valuation is conducted and approved.
