Nepal Life Announces Full Waiver on Late Fees for Lapsed Policies
Kathmandu — Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has introduced a special scheme offering a full waiver on late fees for the revival of lapsed insurance policies, marking its 25th anniversary.
In light of ongoing economic challenges that have led to an increase in lapsed policies, the company emphasized the importance of helping policyholders restore their coverage and maintain financial protection. To support this, Nepal Life has launched the Special Policy Revival Scheme 2025–2026, under which policyholders can revive their lapsed policies with up to a 100% waiver on late fees from April 20 to May 21.
This is the first time the company has rolled out such an extensive late-fee waiver initiative for its customers, coinciding with its silver jubilee celebrations. During this 30-day window, policyholders are encouraged to take full advantage of the scheme to reinstate their policies without additional financial burden.
Nepal Life has called on all its customers to make the most of this opportunity by renewing their policies and ensuring uninterrupted insurance protection. As one of Nepal’s leading life insurers, the company holds approximately a 30% market share and has built a strong reputation over the past 25 years, serving millions of families across all 77 districts through an extensive branch network and more than 69,000 agents.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO Praveen Raman Parajuli said, “At Nepal Life, customer trust has always been our top priority. We understand that policies may lapse due to various circumstances. With this in mind, we have introduced this special scheme to help bring our customers back under insurance coverage. We sincerely encourage all policyholders to take advantage of this opportunity to secure their future and that of their families. Nepal Life remains committed to being your trusted partner at all times.”
