Neelam, who was born in the then Pidari Guthi VDC-9 of Parsa district, was deeply influenced by education from an early age. She graduated from Thakuram Multiple Campus, Birgunj, in 2060 BS and spent years shaping young minds as a schoolteacher. Known for her practical and empathetic teaching style, she prioritized student understanding over rote learning—a reflection of her lifelong belief in purposeful hard work.
Despite her contributions to education, Neelam found her future uncertain. This realization led her to explore new avenues, and she eventually entered the insurance industry. Today, she serves as an agency manager at Citizen Life Insurance’s Gatthaghar branch, where her work has earned her a reputation as one of the company’s standout professionals.
Transitioning into the life insurance sector wasn’t easy. “At first, I was afraid I wouldn’t succeed,” Neelam recalls. “But I had a bigger desire to prove myself. With time, training, and determination, I started seeing results.” With the support of her family and husband, she left teaching behind to pursue insurance full-time—a move that would ultimately redefine her career.

Beyond her professional success, Neelam continues to fulfill her personal responsibilities with equal dedication. She is a proud mother, a supportive wife, and a caring daughter-in-law. She takes pride in helping her children pursue higher education and stands as a pillar of support for her family.
Neelam views the role of an insurance agent not just as a job but as a social responsibility. “Agents are the living gods in times of people’s distress. Life insurance is not just a policy—it’s a promise of protection,” she says.
