Three Billion 64 Million Insurance Policy Surrendered in the First Quarter
Kathmandu : Insurance policies worth three and a half billion rupees have been surrendered during the first quarter. According to the Nepal Insurance Authority since last July 29,120 insured persons have surrendered policies worth three billion 648.2 million rupees.
According to the data of the authority the number of policy surrenders decreased in August compared to last July but increased again in October. According to the authority in July, 9,798 insures of 14 life insurance companies surrendered insurance policies worth one billion 28 million 3 thousand 33 rupees.
Similarly, the number decreased in August. During this period, 9,386 insured persons surrendered insurance policies worth one billion 182 million rupees. This number has increased by the end of October. In October, 9,936 insures surrendered policies worth 118.29 rupees.
According to the authority Nepal Life Insurance’s insurers have surrendered the most policies in the month of October. During this period, 2,649 insures of the said company have given up their insurance policies worth Last August, 2,542 policyholders of this company gave up their policies worth 400 million 290 thousand rupees.
It is mentioned in the authority’s data that in the month of October of the current financial year, 1,065 insured persons of the National Insurance Institute surrendered insurance policies worth 97.1 million rupees. Last August, 1,344 policyholders of the company surrendered policies worth 98.1 million rupees.

According to the authority, during this period, 164 insures of Reliable Nepal Life have surrendered insurance articles worth 95,620,000 rupees, while 256 insures of Citizen Life Nepal have surrendered insurance articles worth 114,180,000 rupees in October.
Similarly, 621 insurance policies worth 8.85 million rupees of Suryajyoti Life, 143 insurance policies of Sanima Reliance Life worth 161 million rupees, 855 insurance policies of Himalayan Life worth 777 million rupees and 114 insurance policies of Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life worth 126 million 85 rupees have been surrendered.
