Nepal Life Co. Ltd’s Chandragadi Sub Branch handover Insurance Claim Payment

Kathmandu : Nepal Life Insurance Company Chandragadi sub-branch has paid the insurance claim. The company organized a money handover program to provide claim payments to the dependent families of the insured.

On 30th Chaitra, 2068 B.S (12th April, 2012 A.D), Yagya Prasad Oli, a resident of Ward No. 3, Jhapa, Baragashi Village, purchased a 15-year “Jeevan Samriddhi insurance policy (Life insurance policy)” worth 500 Thousand rupees from agency manager Shree Prasad Sitaula.

Insured Oli had already received a refund of Rs 300 thousand for survival payment twice in 4 years at the rate of Rs.150 thousand.

But unfortunately, insured Oli, who had been suffering from pancreatic cancer for a few years, passed away on 20th of Paush, 2080 B.S (5th of January, 2024 A.D). After receiving the claim payment request from insured, the company collected the necessary documents and the head of the branch Saurabh Dhakal handed over the claim amount to the wife of the insured, Devki Oli.

The company said that the total amount of 845 thousand 667 rupees had to be given, but after deducting the principal and interest of the loan which is 129 thousand 588 rupees, the remaining 716 thousand 79 rupees was handed over through a cheque to the wife of insured Oli.

While giving speech at the program, the head of the sub-branch, Saurav Dhakal expressed the opinion that since life insurance is a multi-purpose facility because of which no one should be left out to learn it.

After receiving the claim payment, the insured’s wife said that the Chandragadi branch succeeded in dispelling the myth that the claim will not be paid easily by insurance. Thanking the company for paying the claim without any hassle within a very short time after starting the claim process, she said that everyone should buy insurance.

Chandragadi sub-branch agency manager Meghraj Neupane, Tikaram Upreti, Lakxmi Ghimire, Nita Dangal, Hari Budhathoki along with sub-branch employees Pratik Mainali and Anju Katuwal were present in the program.
