Significant progress of Sun Nepal Life in the 2nd Quarter, Life insurance fund worth 6.5 billion And EPS (Earning Per Share) Rs 20.52
Kathmandu: Sun Nepal Life has published the second quarter financial statement of the current fiscal year (2079/80) on 21st of Magh, 2080 B.S. According to which the company has succeeded in making significant progress in the last six months. Statistics have shown that the company has succeeded in increasing both the life insurance fund and income, which has advanced in the sustainable development strategy of insurance.
According to the raw data published on that day shows that, the size of Sun Nepal’s life insurance fund has increased by 14.81 percent and exceeded 6 billion 510 million Rupees. In the previous fiscal year, the size of same fund was only 5 billion 670 million Rupees.
The company has managed to earn 446.2 million Rupees by investing a total of 10 billion 170 million Rupees. The company’s income from loans on investment and interest have increased by 70 percent. Due to this increase, it has been seen that other indexes of the company have been strengthened.
Sun Nepal Life has spent 149 million Rupees for commission. During this period, the total expenditure amount including staff, management and office expenses has reached 1 billion and 710 million Rupees.
In the previous fiscal year, such expenditure amount was 1 billion 500 million Rupees. Similarly, the company’s total income has increased from 1 billion 850 million Rupees to 2 billion 90 million Rupees.
During the review period, Sun Nepal Life earned a total insurance fee of one billion 779 million 564 thousand 448 Rupees. Whereas in last fiscal year, the company earned a total of 1 billion 960 million Rupees as insurance fees. However, net insurance fee income is the same as last year and this year. Last year, net insurance fee income was 1 billion 58 million, and this year’s net insurance fee income as also same.
The net profit of the company has decreased by a normal number from 353.9 million Rupees to 328.4 million Rupees. However, the profit of life insurance companies may be changed during the actuarial evaluation.
The company has been able to increase the number of insurance policies. The total number of insurance policies maintained by the company increased by 2.44 percent which has increased from 872 thousand 666 to 893 thousand 930 Rupees.
During the review period, Sun Nepal Life’s earnings per share (EPS) is Rs.20.52. Similarly, the net worth per share is 187.04, the value of total assets per share is 399.81 rupees.
