Kathmandu ; Capital. MetLife’s organized Financial awareness programs with vulnerable community to empower the them. The company has launched successful community awareness program on access to social financial services as part of its corporate responsibility.

The company believes that this type of program will help families across the country gain financial knowledge and build resilience. The company said that MetLife is focused on providing financial access to underserved and remote areas.The company said that this type of program covers various groups of Ilam including Damak, Lahan, Janakpur, Katari, Besi Sahar, Rainas Municipality Lamjung, Nawalpur, Bara, Bardghat, Palpa, Salyan, Dailekh, Jumla, Kailali.

According to the company, participants in the program will understand the importance and benefits of life insurance and this will promote financial empowerment in areas where access to financial products is less.

MetLife has been operating in Nepal since 2001 as a branch of American Life Insurance registered in the United States as a subsidiary of MetLife. In Nepal, Metlife has been providing facilities like life insurance, accident and health insurance and group insurance to the insured.
