Himalayan Life Insurance to Hold AGM on February 23

Kathmandu – Himalayan Life Insurance Company has scheduled its annual general meeting (AGM) for February 23 at Anupam Foodland and Banquet, Battisputali, Kathmandu. The meeting will commence at 10:30 AM.

One of the key agendas of the meeting is to propose a 14% bonus share distribution from the profit of the last fiscal year. However, the company has clarified that shareholders will be responsible for paying the tax on the bonus shares, as per the prevailing legal provisions.

The AGM will also discuss the company’s profit and loss account for the fiscal year 2079/80 and include an agenda to appoint an auditor and determine their remuneration for the fiscal year 2081/82. Additionally, the board of directors will seek authorization to amend the company’s memorandum of association and regulations.

For the purpose of the AGM, the company will close its books on February 7. Only shareholders listed by February 6 will be eligible to participate in the meeting and claim the proposed dividend.
