Insurance Authority Delegation Departs for High-Level IAIS Seminar in China

Kathmandu — A delegation from the Nepal Insurance Authority, led by Chairman Sharad Ojha, is set to depart for Shanghai, China, to participate in a high-level seminar organized by the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) today. The delegation will be in China from April 19 to 25.
Chairman Ojha and Executive Director Sushil Subedi will represent Nepal at the international seminar of insurance regulators scheduled for April 22 and 23. The event is jointly organized by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), the Asian Insurance Regulators Forum, and the IAIS, with coordination by China’s National Financial Administration.
This Asian-level seminar will bring together key stakeholders and senior officials from insurance regulatory bodies across the region to discuss challenges, opportunities, and regulatory advancements in the insurance sector. Sources from the Ministry of Finance have confirmed Nepal’s participation in the forum.
Following the conclusion of the seminar, Chairman Ojha and Executive Director Subedi are expected to return to Nepal on April 25.
