Atreya, Managing Director of (BEFIN), has Received a Prestigious Award from Victoria University

Kathmandu : Dr. Vinod Atreya, a prominent figure in Nepal’s banking sector, has been honored with the ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award of the Victoria University Alumni Awards. The ‘Lifetime Achievement’ of Alumni Awards is given to individuals who have made significant contributions in various fields after completing their studies from Victoria University in Australia.

Out of 23 names nominated for this award, Atreya became the first. Atreya is the Managing Director of Banking, Finance and Insurance Institute of Nepal (BEFIN). He has established Befin as a leading organization that develops capacity in the financial sector with the support of various financial institutions including commercial banks, development banks and micro-credit institutions.

Before raising (BEFIN), Atreya was the Chief Executive Officer of Emerging Nepal Limited. He has worked in high positions in many insurance and financial sector companies. Atreya, who has more than 30 years of experience in the banking sector, accelerated the practice of banking and finance regulation, corporate planning and financial inclusion while working at Central Bank.
