Corruption in Agricultural Equipment, case Against 4 People Including the then Provincial Secretary

Kathmandu : The Authority has filed a case against 4 people including the then Provincial Secretary of Lumbini Province for committing widespread irregularities in the purchase of agricultural equipment.

The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission has claimed that during the year 2075.76, during the supply of agricultural machinery to farmers under the agricultural mechanization program, they distributed agricultural machinery of low capacity and quality contrary to the contract and standards, and committed corruption worth 13.36 million rupees.

The Authority said that there was corruption in the corruption-related work, and the then provincial secretary of the Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives Lumbini then Land Management,The co-spokesperson of the Authority, Devi Prasad Thapalia, has informed that a case has been filed against Rajaram Tiwari, the managing director of the organization, Rajaram Tiwari, along with Sridhar Gyawali, the agricultural extension officer of the Ministry of Agriculture, Cooperatives, Mukesh Ramjali Nepali, the division chief of the Ministry of Agriculture.
