Government provided mandate to earn, 2 billion insurance premiums term of life insurance fee

Kathmandu : The government has made insurance compulsory for ordinary citizens going for foreign employment. Currently, only 10 life insurance companies operating in Nepal are selling foreign employment insurance (MIA).

Life insurance companies have earned insurance premiums worth 1 billion 999 million rupees through foreign employment insurance until February The companies collected the amount by selling 20.9 thousand 351 term insurance policies.

According to the financial statement published by the Insurance Authority up to February, Nepal Life has earned 175 million rupees insurance fee by selling 74 thousand 76 insurance policies. Similarly, National Life has earned an insurance fee worth 435.3 million rupees by selling 410,000 insurance policies.
