Rastriya Beema jeevan Beema Company Announces Bonus on All Insurance Policies

Kathmandu, The government-owned Rastriya jeevan beema Company has announced the bonus rate for the financial year 2080/81. The company has set a bonus rate of Rs. 60 per thousand per year for all life insurance policies issued by the company. This bonus will be applied to the policies being transferred to the company’s profit brought into operation.

According to the company, the total number of in-force policies from FY 2070/71 to 2072/73 stands at 152,890. The bonus rate was published after receiving approval from the Nepal Insurance Authority, which reviewed the company’s financial status and the actuarial evaluation report concerning liability assessments. The approval was granted on August 17, paving the way for the company to release the bonus rate for policyholders.

It is important to note that the bonus rate is variable and will depend on future actuarial valuations, which assess the company’s liabilities and financial status.
