LIC Nepal to Auction 492,577 Unallocated Right Shares

Kathmandu – Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) Limited (LIC) is set to auction 492,577 unallocated right shares (general group) starting from February 3. The minimum price for the shares has been fixed at Rs 100 per unit.

Interested individuals, companies, or organizations can bid for a minimum of 100 units and up to the entire available quantity. Confidential sealed bids must be submitted to Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited, Thamel, Kathmandu, or at LIC’s branch offices in Biratnagar, Birgunj, Putalisadak, Pokhara, Nepalgunj, Butwal, Surkhet, and Dhangadhi. The final date for submitting bids is Monday, Februray 17, during office hours.

Previously, LIC had offered 23.468 million units of right shares at a rate of 88.45 percent to shareholders holding shares as of November 9. During the sales period from November 27, 2024 to January 1, 2025, a total of 22.975 million shares were distributed to 11,468 shareholders. The remaining 492,577 shares will now be sold via auction.
