Nepal Insurance Authority, Life Insurance Association Nepal and FALIA Discuss Insurance Essay Competition for Students

Kathmandu – A meeting was held between officials of the Nepal Insurance Authority, Life Insurance Association of Nepal, and a team from the Foundation for the Advancement of Life and Insurance in Asia (FALIA), Japan, to discuss the launch of an “Insurance Essay Competition” for high school students in Nepal.

President of the Life Insurance Association and CEO of Citizen Life Insurance, Poshak Raj Poudel, confirmed that the essay competition aims to raise insurance awareness among students. He stated that this competition will encourage students to research and learn about insurance, which will enhance their knowledge and awareness of the sector.

Preparations for the competition are progressing rapidly. Poudel revealed that the top three winners will be awarded a one-week visit to Japan, while other top-performing participants will receive cash prizes. He also expressed the Association’s commitment to promoting this program continuously.

The Life Insurance Association has coordinated the program schedule and procedures with the FALIA team and will announce the winners after the competition. The Association also extended its gratitude to FALIA for its ongoing support in developing Nepal’s life insurance market.

The meeting was attended by Nepal Insurance Authority Chairman Sharad Ojha and CEO Sushildev Subedi. Other key participants included Vice President of the Life Insurance Association and CEO of Nepal Life, Prabin Raman Parajuli; Treasurer and CEO of Asian Life, Dinesh Lal Shrestha; and General Secretary and CEO of Suryajyoti Life, Prakash Bikram Khatri, along with members of the FALIA team.
