Madan Bhatta Becomes Nepal Topper in Life Insurance for Fourth Consecutive Year

Kathmandu — Madan Bhatta of Kailali has once again carved his name into the history of Nepal’s life insurance sector by becoming the national topper for the fourth consecutive year. Representing Nepal Life Insurance Company, Bhatta has now secured the prestigious “Nepal Topper” title for the fifth time in his career—his first being in 2012.
This year, Bhatta achieved another rare feat by setting a new benchmark in the insurance industry. He not only retained his top position through his individual business performance—exceeding NPR 50 million—but also led his team to surpass NPR 100 million in total insurance business, earning him the dual recognition of best in both individual and team categories.
Bhatta has been active in the life insurance sector for over two decades. His career began with LIC Nepal, where he was named the best performer in 2007. He later joined Nepal Life Insurance and has since consistently risen to national prominence, topping the company in 2012, 2022, 2023, and now again in 2024 and 2025.
Based in Dhangadhi, Sudurpaschim Province, Bhatta has demonstrated that geographical remoteness is no barrier to excellence. In addition to his success in insurance, he also runs the Kranji Chicken restaurant chain in Dhangadhi, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and financial acumen.
His continued dedication to the insurance sector, effective mobilization of agents, and deep-rooted commitment to serving people through risk protection have made him a standout figure in Nepal’s insurance industry.
