Speaking at the launch, Jagdish Khadka, CEO of eSewa, said, “The launch of Sahara Health Insurance is another important milestone in the direction of insurance digitalization. It will make health insurance more accessible, simple, and convenient for all Nepalis.”
Policyholders can claim reimbursements for treatment at recognized hospitals across Nepal or avail cashless treatment at 26 network hospitals affiliated with Shikhar Insurance, allowing insured individuals to receive care without immediate financial stress. Additionally, the plan offers a one-time free telehealth consultation, making it easier for policyholders to access professional health advice.
A key feature of Sahara Health Insurance is its fully digital enrollment process via the eSewa app. Customers can complete the process in just a few minutes and receive their insurance policy instantly through SMS and email, providing a fast and convenient alternative to traditional paper-based systems.
