The Commitment of the Head of Godavari Municipality to Advance Agricultural and Livestock Insurance and Home Insurance in a Planned Manner.

An insurance-related interaction program was completed with the Godavari municipality in Lalitpur district under the organization of Nepal Insurance Authority on October 4th. Chief guest Gajendra Maharjan, head of Godavari municipality, expressed his commitment to advance agricultural and livestock insurance and home insurance in a planned manner.

Chief Maharjan said that since the relief arrangement will not solve the problem, insurance should be used to transfer the risk and provide financial protection. Director Lal requested to encourage accident insurance and agriculture and livestock insurance and arrange for the municipality to provide insurance for the disadvantaged groups as it is not known when the incident will happen.

Nirmal Adhikari, Deputy Director of Nepal Insurance Authority, gave a presentation on the overall issues related to insurance in the program. People’s representatives and employees of Godavari municipality and representatives of insurance companies participated in the program.

The program was conducted by Nischal Raj Baniya, Assistant Director of Nepal Insurance Authority.
