Bonus Rates of 12 Out of 14 Life Insurance Companies Are ,  How Much do Policyholders of Those Companies Get ?

Kathmandu : Out of the 14 life insurance companies operating in Nepal, 12 companies have announced the new bonus rate to be given to the insured.

12 companies have announced new bonus share for the financial year 2078/79 B.S (2022 A.D). Until now IME Life, Met Life, Asian Life, National Life, Sun Nepal Life, Citizen Life, Surya Life, Jyoti Life, Union Life, Reliable Nepal Life, Prime Life and LIC Nepal Insurance have announced their bonus rate for the financial year 2078/79 B.S.

(2022 A.D).12 life insurance companies have announced the policy bonus to be provided to the insured after accounting for the financial status of the financial year 2078/79 (2022 A.D) and actuarial evaluation of the liability.

After receiving the approval from the insurance authority, the bonus is announced at the rate of per thousand on the insured of the insurance policies brought into operation by the companies and which will turn into profit. The bonus rate announced by the companies is applicable to death claims, full or partial term payment claims, surrender value claims, paid-up value claims and current insurance policies, and the bonus rate will be maintained until the next year actuarial assessment is approved by the insurance authority.

Whereas, Nepal Life, Mahalakshmi Life, Prabhu Life, Gurans Life, Reliance Life and Sanima Life have not announced the bonus rates for the year 2078/79 B.S (2022 A.D).
