The Central Bank will Invest 17.67 Million Rupees in Interest

Kathmandu : Central Bank is going to invest Rs 17.67 million in interest in its various funds. The central bank is going to keep the amount as deposit for a total of 365 days from 4th November 2023 to 3rd November 2024. By issuing a notice on Sunday, the bank has invited applications from licensed A, B and C category banks and financial institutions.

According to the notice, commercial banks of category A will get deposits of amount. However, the Central Bank has said that banks and financial institutions have to fulfill the specified conditions for deposits. According to the Central Bank, the banks must maintain the minimum capital set by the Central Bank, if the ratio of credit to deposits (CD) ratio is maintained and non-performing loans (NPL) should be less than 5 percent of the total loan portfolio.
