Nirmal Kaji Shrestha, General Manager of MetLife Nepal appointed as the Chairman of AMCHAM Nepal

Kathmandu: The American Chamber of Commerce in Nepal (AMCHAM Nepal) has appointed MetLife Nepal General Manager Nirmal Kazi Shrestha as its new president for the next term.

This appointment reflects his extensive experience and leadership in the insurance sector and the wider business community. With a distinguished career in the financial services industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight to his new role. In his role as General Manager of MetLife Nepal, he has been instrumental in driving the company towards success and fostering positive relationships within the business landscape. He is also the former chairman and founding member of Life Insurance Association Nepal i.e. Jeewan Bemak Sangh Nepal (JEBISAN).

Under the chairmanship in Nepal, he has prepared to make the relationship between the American business and the Nepalese market more harmonious. His appointment comes at a critical juncture as Nepal continues to attract foreign investment and cross-border cooperation becomes increasingly essential for economic growth.

His leadership is expected to drive initiatives to promote trade, investment and economic cooperation between the United States and Nepal in coming future.
