Nepal Insurance Authority bringing three insurance plans to bear different risk styles, Amended “Panchi Beema” (Poultry Insurance)

Kathmandu :  According to information Officer of the authority, Nirmal Adhikari, Nepal Insurance Authority is going to bring three crop insurance plans at once. Currently, they are counting on food and fruit farming, but they have made separate plans for three crops with different nature of production and risk style and they are planning to bring them together.

He said, “Currently, we have been looking at legume crop insurance in the food category, while in the fruit category, we have been insuring mango crops and walnut crops.”

As the authority has completed all the work of the policy and has come to the final stage, it has prepared to bring the policy to the market in the first week of January, 2024 A.D.

Similarly, the authority has also revised the poultry insurance policy. The Authority has issued and revised the said policy on 29th of November, 2023 A.D

Currently, poultry is not included in the insurance and the authority has revised it considering the demands of the farmers.
