We will investigate Micro-Finance Institutions that works against the instructions will be brought under the scope of Action: Prime Minister Prachanda

Kathmandu : Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has said that Micro-finance financial institutions that works against the instructions will be investigated and brought under the scope of action.

Responding to the questions raised by the Members of Parliament in the House of Representatives meeting, Prime Minister Prachanda said that action will be taken against those who act contrary to the existing laws and the instructions given by Central Bank of Nepal.

He said that the instruction given to refund the service fee taken in excess of the specified amount and deposit it in the respective borrower’s account is being implemented. “A separate ‘desk’ has been arranged in the microfinance institution supervision department for hearing complaints and resolving them,” said Prime Minister Dahal.

He said that the government is committed to facilitate the payment of milk farmers. He said that after negotiations between industrialists and farmers’ organizations, the arrears due to the farmers up to the end of Paush Month will be paid by the 21st of Chaitra and it has been agreed that other regular payments will be continued.
