Pakistan Embassy, PNAN Hold Free Medical Camp in Kathmandu
KATHMANDU, — The Embassy of Pakistan, in collaboration with the Pakistan Nepal Alumni Network (PNAN), organized a free medical camp in Ward No. 4 of Nagarjun Municipality, Kathmandu, June 13, 2026, benefiting more than 100 local residents.
The health camp provided free medical consultations, check-ups, and essential medicines to community members, including senior citizens, women, and children. The initiative was aimed at improving access to basic healthcare services for local residents.
A team of volunteer doctors, most of whom graduated from medical institutions in Pakistan, conducted examinations and offered medical advice to patients. Several individuals requiring specialized treatment were referred to tertiary hospitals for further care.
The event was attended by PNAN President Dr. Deepak Mishra, Deputy Mayor of Nagarjun Municipality Sushila Adhikari, Ward No. 4 Chairperson Laxmi Ram Sharma, as well as local community leaders and volunteers.
The Embassy of Pakistan expressed appreciation to the volunteer physicians of PNAN and the Nagarjun Municipality authorities for their support in successfully organizing the medical camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Mayor Sushila Adhikari thanked the Embassy of Pakistan and PNAN for arranging the free health camp and providing valuable healthcare services to the residents of Nagarjun Municipality.

PNAN President Dr. Deepak Mishra praised the Embassy of Pakistan for its continued contribution to Nepal’s medical sector and acknowledged its support for healthcare-related initiatives in the country.
The medical camp highlighted the growing cooperation between Pakistan and Nepal in the field of public health and community welfare, while also demonstrating the contribution of Pakistan-trained Nepali medical professionals to local communities.
