Asian Life Insurance Achieves 42% Profit Growth in First Quarter

Kathmandu – Asian Life Insurance Company has reported a strong financial performance for the first quarter of the current financial year, with a 42.07% increase in net profit compared to the same period last year. The company posted a net profit of 132.9 million rupees, up from 93.5 million rupees in the previous year.

The company’s life insurance fund grew by 3.14% to reach 44.34 billion rupees, an increase from 42.99 billion rupees last year, reflecting Asian Life’s stable expansion in Nepal’s insurance market.

During this period, the company’s net insurance premium rose by 9.61%, while net claim payments saw a significant 45% increase, indicating an uptick in both business volume and claim settlements.

Asian Life’s earnings per share (EPS) also improved, reaching Rs 15.64, while the net worth per share stood at Rs 123.11. The company’s reserve fund reached 459.2 million rupees, supported by a paid-up capital of 3.39 billion rupees.
