Non-Life Insurance Companies Collect Rs 14.97 Billion in Premiums
Kathmandu – Non-life insurance companies in Nepal have collected a total insurance premium of Rs 14.97 billion during the first four months of the current fiscal year, up to mid-November. The data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority, reflects the contributions of 14 active non-life insurance companies in the country.
Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance led the sector, securing the highest premium collection of Rs 1.77 billion during this period. It was followed by Siddhartha Premier Insurance with Rs 1.46 billion and Shikhar Insurance with Rs 1.41 billion in premium earnings.
Other notable performers include Neco Insurance, which collected Rs 1.15 billion, and Himalayan Everest Insurance, with Rs 1.14 billion. IGI Prudential Insurance and NLG Insurance recorded premiums of Rs 1.13 billion and Rs 941 million, respectively.
Meanwhile, Oriental Insurance collected Rs 928.6 million, United Ajod Insurance earned Rs 841 million, Nepal Insurance secured Rs 786.8 million, and Sanima GIC Insurance garnered Rs 779.3 million in premiums.
