Insurance Awareness Relationship Interaction Program at Gulmi
Kathmandu : An interactive program related to insurance awareness has been completed in Gulmi. The interaction program was organized by Nepal Insurance Authority in Rurukshetra village of Gulmi.
Yadu Gyawali, president of the village, Meena Devi Gautam, vice president, and Humakant Pandey, head of Gulmi veterinary and animal service expert center, were present in the program as chief guests. The organizer of the program was Surendra Choulagai on behalf of Nepal Insurance Authority.
The participants in the program reported that the amount of corona insurance was not paid on time and the life insurance claim was not paid on the death certificate given by the ward office, the claim payment process in agriculture and animal insurance was complicated and there were not enough agents, there was no public awareness about FMD vaccine among farmers and the problem in animal insurance payment due to lumpy skin. There was also curiosity.
In the discussion held with branch heads of life and non-life companies in Tamghas, Gulmi’s headquarter, on contemporary issues, the questions raised from the program stated that the authority should conduct insurance business in accordance with the institutional governance guidelines of insurers, provide insurance services to the insured simply and easily, implement agricultural and micro insurance effectively and provide insurance services. It was also requested to emphasize on giving clear information about the policy.
