Marine Insurance Workshop Kicks Off in Kathmandu
Kathmandu – A two-day training program on marine insurance, organized by Insurance Protective Services, officially commenced on Wednesday (15 January) at Hotel Royal Shingi, Durbarmarg. The workshop, aimed at enhancing the knowledge and capacity of employees from non-life and reinsurance companies, has brought together over 42 participants.
The program was inaugurated by Chunky Chhetri, President of the Nepal Insurance Association and CEO of Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance, alongside Anjan Dhakal, Managing Director of Insurance Protective Services. During the opening ceremony, Chhetri emphasized the importance of equipping employees with solutions to challenges in marine insurance to strengthen Nepal’s insurance sector.
The workshop also featured distinguished guests, including former Chairman of the Nepal Insurance Authority and Professor Dr. Fatta Bahadur KC. Renowned trainer Samiran Lahiri, Executive Director and CEO of Preferred Partners Insurance Brokers (India), is leading the sessions.
The two-day training program, is expected to provide valuable insights into marine insurance practices, empowering participants to make the sector more robust and reliable.
