LIC Nepal Announces New Bonus Rates for Insurance Policies

Kathmandu – Life Insurance Corporation Limited (LIC Nepal) has made public its new bonus rate for various insurance plans. The updated rates were determined following the approval of the company’s actuarial report by the Nepal Insurance Authority on Chaitra 17 (March 30).
According to the revised rates, policyholders will receive a bonus ranging from Rs 51 to Rs 53 per thousand based on the insurance period in Jeevan Beema, Jeevan Sathi, and Jeevan Shree Beema Yojana. For term insurance plans, the bonus has been set between Rs 51 and Rs 65 per thousand.
Similarly, policyholders under Jeevan Ananda Beema Yojana will receive bonuses from Rs 50 to Rs 60 per thousand, while Child Term Insurance offers bonuses from Rs 51 to Rs 64 per thousand. The Dhan Bristi Beema Yojana bonus rate stands at Rs 55 to Rs 57 per thousand, whereas the Dhan Firta Beema Yojana offers Rs 56 to Rs 60 per thousand.
For Baal Mamata and Baal Sneha Beema Yojana, LIC Nepal has set a bonus rate of Rs 55 to Rs 57 per thousand. Jeevan Tarang Beema Yojana and New Jeevan Tarang Beema Yojana policyholders will receive Rs 50 to Rs 55 per thousand, while Jeevan Bachat Beema Yojana offers a variable bonus between Rs 41 and Rs 63 per thousand.
Additionally, Jeevan Labh Beema Yojana policyholders will receive a bonus ranging from Rs 51 to Rs 57 per thousand. The Baal Samriddhi Beema Yojana has been set at Rs 55 and Rs 56 per thousand, whereas Micro Term Insurance Plan policyholders will receive a flat rate of Rs 41 per thousand for all insurance periods.
LIC Nepal has confirmed that these bonus rates will remain in effect until further notice from the Nepal Insurance Authority.
