MetLife Nepal Launches Innovative ‘Double Protection Plus’ Insurance Plan

Kathmandu – MetLife Nepal has introduced a new insurance plan, ‘Double Protection Plus (DPP)’, marking a first-of-its-kind offering in the country that integrates high insurance protection with long-term savings benefits.

The insurance plan which was launched at a special event in Kathmandu, the plan has already witnessed a strong market response, with the company reporting over 100 policies sold within the first hour of its release. Targeted at individuals aged 18 to 65, the DPP plan offers insurance coverage up to the age of 75.

The key features of the policy include flexible premium payment options ranging from a lump sum to five or ten-year payment terms and double payout of the sum assured in the event of death, permanent disability, or incapacity due to illness or accident. Additionally, the plan provides an annual booster fund and loyalty rewards every five years, enhancing its appeal for long-term financial planning.

MetLife Nepal stated that the DPP plan aligns with its commitment to strengthening financial security for Nepali families by combining protection with wealth-building incentives.
