Nepal Life Partners with Kathmandu Metropolitan City for ‘Skill Fair 2082’

June 21st, 2025

Kathmandu – Nepal Life Insurance Company has partnered with Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) as an institutional collaborator in the ongoing Skill Fair 2082, reinforcing its commitment to corporate social responsibility and youth empowerment.

The Skill Fair aims to upskill unemployed and semi-skilled individuals through free training programs in 37 trades across 10 categories. The initiative is a key part of KMC’s three-year National Pride Project to create sustainable employment and enhance economic self-reliance.

Nepal Life CEO Praveen Raman Parajuli expressed pride in supporting the campaign, calling it an important step toward guiding youth toward self-employment and bridging the demand-supply gap in skilled manpower.

The fair sees participation from youth across Nepal—some seeking opportunities for the first time, others looking to redirect their careers. Trainings are held daily in three shifts: 7–11 am, 11 am–3 pm, and 3–7 pm, with 25 participants per class. Beneficiaries include residents of KMC, taxpayers, landfill site-affected communities, returnee migrants, and unemployed youth.

Devendra KC, a KMC representative, emphasized the significance of private sector collaboration, highlighting Nepal Life’s involvement as especially commendable.

Currently, Nepal Life serves over 3 million policyholders, including foreign workers, and has pledged to continue providing relevant services and benefits aligned with customer needs.
