Half of 24 billion foreign investment commitments by November, what is the most?
Kathmandu : By November of this financial year, an investment commitment of half of 24 billion rupees has been made under foreign direct investment FDI. According to the statistics provided by the Department of Industry, from July to November financial year, investment commitments of 24 billion 357 million rupees have been made in 220 industries.
By November, investors have committed to invest 20.615 billion 78 thousand rupees in new industries and 3.74 billion 66 million rupees in existing industries i.e. Share Purchase Agreement (SPA)/SSA Subscription Agreement (SSA)/Technology Transfer Agreement (TTA). He has made a commitment to invest. It is said that 10 thousand 120 people will get employment from this job.
In November alone, when 21 new industries were registered for foreign investment an investment commitment of 2.25 billion rupees 62 million rupees was received, while an investment commitment of 300 billion 57 million rupees was received in 2 industries through SPA/SSA, the department said.
So far, 6 thousand 58 new industries of foreign investment have been registered in the department of Industry. Foreign investors have committed to invest 4 trillion 70 billion 57 million 95 thousand rupees in that industry. In addition, 3 lakh 19 thousand 217 people have been promised employment.
By November, 199 new industries have been given investment commitments, while investment commitments have come in 3 big industries. Similarly, 7 new industries of medium class and 189 new industries of small class have been registered.
According to the statistics till November, it has been found that tourism is an attractive area of investment for foreign investors. About half of the investments committed during the five-month period are occupied by the tourism sector. According to the department, during this period, investors have committed investment in 95 tourism areas, i.e. 48 percent.
